Praying for Sadie...

I read something today that made me re-evaluate my life and the priorities in it. A friend of mine told a story of her friends precious little girl named Sadie Huish. She was diagnosed a few weeks ago with a brain tumor that has wrapped itself around her brain stem making it impossible to treat. Her family has set up a blog in her behalf with pictures and updates on her progress. After reading about this little girl and her family I realized how truly blessed I am in my life. It made me think about how short life really is and how fast it can be taken from you. I wondered.....am I doing the things I need to be doing as a wife/mom/sister/daughter and friend? Can I do more? What is truly important in this life? So the next time you have a bad day, think about this family and the trials their going through in their life. I've attached a link of this brave little girl and the minute you see her she will steal your heart......I promise.

Shannon..what a great post. Is this the same Sadie I emailed about a few days ago? I also have another friend whojust found out her 3 year old son has a brain tumor as well as several in his arms and legs. It has made me check our lives as well..to live life to the fullest. I will keep your Sadie in our thoughts and prayers! melissa c

I read the same post on Courtney's blog the other day and went to Sadie's blog...talk about a "spiritual" reality check. It breaks my heart to think about that precious little girl and how hard this time must be for her family. It reminds me how small my problems are compared to what so many others have to face. It also reminds me that I should count all my many blessings and be more grateful for the life I have. It's too easy to forget and take those things for granted!

Thanks, Shan. You are such a wonderful person and I'm glad I know you. I love all the pictures, your kids are so so cute. I really like Kennedy's hair. We miss you and look forward to seeing you soon I hope!
